This Week we will be looking in depth at developing your melodies with pitch and prosody. If you missed Weeks 1 and 2 on Rhythm and Harmony we will summarise. Our three-part interactive presentation course covers the essentials of Melody, Hook and Harmony Writing - you will learn the elements of what makes a great melody and invaluable advice on each of those elements that contribute to a balanced whole. There is more than enough information each week to be taken as a standalone session and the price is discounted by 15% for this Meetup Group. A five-day songwriting, arranging, recording and production experience! The London Songwriters Summer Camp features collaborative and solo writing briefs designed to illustrate proven techniques of effective songcraft. It will also provide you with hands-on experience in taking your song to the next level in terms of arrangement, recording and production. The principles used will be applicable to all Digital Audio Workstation software and computer platforms. There will also be plenty of opportunity to play your own songs in our evening on-site open mics and to receive constructive feedback - 1-2-1 tuition is also available. The school is set in beautiful Box Hill, North Downs in Surrey with plenty of scope for outdoor writing, walks and visits to local country pubs. Single-room accommodation is available including all catered meals from Monday midday through Friday lunchtime, and all songwriting/studio facilitation. The camp is limited to 18 attendees.
