Steve O’Hear is a well-known technology journalist, focusing on European startups, companies and products.
Steve will talk to Hiroki Takeuchi, CEO of GoCardless, a platform that enables small and large companies to accept bank-to-bank payments as an alternative to card payments.
GoCardless was founded in 2011 by Hiroki Takeuchi, Tom Blomfield and Matt Robinson and went through Silicon Valley’s Y Combinator accelerator. It processes $13 billion in transactions a year and is backed by some of the world’s leading investors including Accel Partners, Balderton Capital, GV (formerly Google Ventures), Notion Capital, Passion Capital and Salesforce Ventures.
Hiroki is an alumni of Oxford University. He was the Vice president of Oxford Entrepreneurs where he cofounded Varsity Pitch, a business ideas competition between Oxford and Cambridge's top business ideas.
