Tracing Microservice Http Requests with Jaeger
In this talk, Riyanat Shittu, is going to discuss how to use Jaeger - an end to end distributed tracing system to understand the interaction between your microservices.
She’ll introduce you to Jaeger and show you how you can set up Jaeger with your Spring Boot web applications. You’ll get an idea of how to use this tool to trace a single http request through your microservices!
This talk is for developers that are interested in observing their microservices in production especially when it comes to debugging.
About the speaker
Riyanat Shittu is a Java Developer who is passionate about writing and shipping clean code to production. She currently works at Net-A-Porter as a Senior Software Engineer.
My experience of being a mentee during a career change
Join Sam Burden for an extension of her lightning talk. She'll be focusing on how finding a mentor has helped her to progress further within the field of User Experience and Design and what she has learned from the process.
About the speaker
Sam Burden is a marketing executive at Air France KLM UK and IE. Whilst on furlough, she has decided to review her skills and experience to re-train and enter a new career path in User Experience and Design, and sought the help of a mentor in this field to provide further guidance.
