What we’re about
The purpose of this group is to provide a safe atmosphere where members of the polyamorous community can gather to connect with like minded people. All genders and orientations who consider themselves polyamorous, poly-curious, poly-friendly, ethically or consensual non-monogamous, ambi-amourous (open to poly or monogamy) are welcome to join.
We hope to create a friendly and safe space where members feel supported by a sense of community. We believe that a strong community is built upon mutual respect, open communication, and trust, and therefore we ask that all members consider their speech and behavior toward others at all times. A “safe space” means using inclusive language that acknowledges the diversity of the group, including the various gender identities and sexual orientations of others. We’re all human and we all make mistakes. All we ask is that an effort be made to be inclusive.
While we understand the importance of meeting potential partners, the main purposes of these Meetups are to make new friends, connect with old ones, and share experiences, support, and ideas. Dating apps such as OkCupid and Feeld are better suited for meeting potential non-monogamous dates. Please do not use our members list to private message someone unless you have asked their permission first.
It is important that consent is at the forefront of everyone's minds during all group gatherings and that you have consent before making physical contact with another member or before starting a conversion that may be explicit in nature and make someone uncomfortable. Everyone is responsible for their own and one another’s safety during group events. Please report any problems or concerns about safety to one of the hosts and we will be quick to address the issue to the best of our abilities.
