What we're about

OK, so we all have stress. What are we going to do about it? Drink ourselves silly? Or laugh ourselves silly?

This meetup is for people seeking new ways to find stress relief, by learning how to exercise their laughter muscle under any and all circumstances!

Laughter Yoga is a revolutionary idea – simple and profound. An exercise routine with many variations, it's sweeping the world and is a complete wellbeing workout. There is indeed much laughing--but without the need for jokes, comedy or humor. It's a holistic way to deal with our stresses, our grief, our anxieties and fears.

The amazing thing is that it's painless and has immediate results, especially for those of us who don't connect well with yoga, the gym, or other formal exercise routines. Yes, it's NOT yoga in the way you know it. All it has in common with yoga is the idea that the Breath is our most powerful ally and healing agent. When we "ha-ha", we are exhaling Breath (and negative energy).

Laughter Yoga exercises mind, body and spirit. Dive into whichever dimension is most accessible or compelling for you. Just bring your body and the mind will follow. You can always "fake it until you make it" if you need to.
