What we're about

Many of us are new to Long Island City, and some are even new to Queens. We've got an awesome neighborhood, great areas to run and there are lots of cool people in our 'hood. It's time to bring all of this together to make it all even better.

Our goal is to build a non-competitive, socially focused community of runners and fitness-focused people in LIC. We'll organize group runs, social outings and other adventures of interest. You can be a veteran ultramarathoner who has completed 30 races in the past month, a workaholic who finds time to run once per year or someone with a keen interest in running and are not sure where to start. You've all come to the right place.

This is your group - let us know when, where and how you want to run. Any and all suggestions are eagerly welcome.

Monday Evening 4 Mile Run (New Route as of 3/12!)

• What we'll do What: 4 Mile Run! When: Every Monday at 7 PM! Where: Meet on the northeast corner of Queens West Sports Field (46th Rd. and 5th St.) The new route (debuting 3/12!) will include a loop around the waterfront, across the Pulaski Bridge into Brooklyn, and back into LIC: https://goo.gl/zZRXeU We usually head to a bar or brewery after for beverages before heading home - Bring some cash if you'd like to join! Wednesday Morning 4-ish Mile Run!

What: 4-ish Mile Run! When: Every Wednesday at 6:30 AM! Please be honest with your RSVP's! If you aren't able to make the meetup, please update your response. This ensures that the run will start on time, and that we won't risk leaving without anyone! Where: Meet on the northwest corner of Jackson Avenue and 11th Street in front of Sweetleaf (10-93 Jackson Avenue). The route will start and end at this location, with a 4-ish mile run through Greenpoint and back. The route is essentially a large square. We'll head over the Pulaski Bridge and continue on McGuinness Blvd. Make a right on Driggs, then continue to the park, making a right on North 6th. You'll make a final right onto Kent ave which takes you back to the bridge. We will wait up to 5 minutes for late arrivals, so please be prompt! All paces are welcome - no one will be left behind!

Thursday Evening 6 Mile Run (Roosevelt Island!)

5th St & 46th Rd, Queens, NY 11101

• What we'll do What: 6 Mile Run! When: Every Thursday at 7 PM! Where: Meet on the northeast corner of Queens West Sports Field (46th Rd. and 5th St.) The route will include a run up Vernon Blvd, a loop around most of Roosevelt Island, and back into LIC: https://goo.gl/s9vfcg We usually head to a bar or brewery after for beverages before heading home - Bring some cash if you'd like to join! Saturday Morning Long Run (8-10 Miles)

5th St & 46th Rd, Queens, NY 11101

• What we'll do What: Long Run! (8-10 Miles) When: Every Saturday at 8 AM! Where: Meet on the northeast corner of Queens West Sports Field (46th Rd. and 5th St.) The route will vary every week based on the group. Common routes include Queensborough Bridge and Central Park; Brooklyn and Williamsburg Bridge; and Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges. Feel free to suggest one!
