Orientation to the Electronics Area: Tools & Parts Locations

Details

This is a QUICK overview of tools and parts available in the Electronics Area.
The TinkerMill Wiki contains resources Wiki.TinkerkMill.org (http://wiki.tinkermill.org/index.php/Electronics) about the Electronics Area.

This should take about 30 minutes or less. If you've got a project in electronics, this will be helpful in finding what you need. This is not a session on coaching, design ideas, or hands on help. However, you may meet someone who can help you.

Very important coverage on CHANGING SOLDERING IRON TIPS.
Here is a VIDEO (https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8wmW3hJe4leOEh4clBTQ1MzWVk/view) on the most difficult and costly tip change.

If you are a user of the electronics area, you're advised to attend. If you think you might want to use a few electrical tools for your project, it is a suggestion to attend. Because of the limited space, inventory and test gear may be in unusual places.

Locations of and basic reasons to use one type of meter or oscilloscope can be covered in wrap up Q&A. Please hold complex questions till then. I suggest bringing a small pad for notes, cell phones are too distracting (unless you're filming).

I expect us to be done in an hour or less.
