This group is dedicated to gallantry and the art of conversation while enjoying the countryside. The organiser aims for equal numbers of ladies and gentlemen for the walk. We meet at a cafe near a railway station at 11 am on Sundays. The gentlemen take their partners for the first quarter of the walk. They direct the conversation during this period. We walk along pathes wide enough to take two people side by side. Then we stop and the ladies take partners for the second quarter of the walk and direct the conversation. The gentlemen take new partners for the third quarter, and ladies for the fourth quarter. After walking 4-8 miles, it's time for lunch at a hostelry near another railway station, where we have booked tables.
