Building social apps 4 iPhone backed w/Cassandra, CQL, & Storm/Dan Gould-Tappy

Details
Abstract:-
Dan Gould will explain the basics of system architecture and CQL schema design using the example of a new social app that is launching soon. The system was designed using Cassandra, CQL, Storm, and Python from Day 1. They will look at examples from previous systems where we've run in to scaling problems, how we overcame them, and why they chose Cassandra over other datastores. They will also discuss how to model data and use CQL from a programmer's point of view.
This talk is ideal for someone who has read about and understands the basics of Cassandra but would like to understand to to deploy it in the real world.
