LA Blender Users Group Meeting
Details
LA Blenderheads - It is Blender 2.81 release week! Hooray!
At this meeting, you can expect to hear about new 2.81 news and features, personal/professional Blender projects, and tips from your peers. Our speakers include Matt who will talk on machine learning and computer vision add-ons for modeling, Sean Kennedy with a Blender Conference recap, Sergio Mishchenko on his "Narc" title sequence project, David Andrade on using OpenImageDenoise, Gerry Tucker on Outliner & Transform/Snapping Tools, Ask Me Anything with Blender pros, Community Show-n-Tell, and others.
We have a Google Home Mini prize for the best overview of a major Blender 2.81 feature such as: new retopology tools, new sculpting features, holdouts and transparency in Eevee, new Cycles nodes, new look development features, library overrides, etc. You must be physically present to receive the prize. Enter our contest by announcing in this Comment section which Blender 2.81 feature you will present so we can avoid duplicates. We have sessions already for Denoising, Outliner, and Transform/Snapping Tools.
If this is your first meeting, bring a thumb drive or URL to your project for our Show-N-Tell session and let us know via our Meetup site that you’d like to present. The meeting is followed by a social activity at a restaurant/bar nearby to hang out with fellow Blender artists, talk about CG / VFX / game dev / etc, and enjoy beverages and food.
Details on finding the venue and parking can be found on the following page: https://smpl.org/MainLibrary.aspx?pageid=17383
