Join me around the fire pit for our 2-part series of Beginner Fire Eating starting on Tuesday Oct 23rd These classes have no experience necessary (bravery a plus) and designed to give students a well-rounded foundation of the Fire Eating concepts. We offer up a ceremonial environment and set the tone of safety with a thorough explanation of what makes a safe fire eating performance for yourself and the audience. Not only will students gain the opportunity to develop a deep relationship with fire but also learn impressive techniques such as the jellyfish extinguish, finger and tongue transfers, mouth extinguishing, and even body painting.

The Breakdown:

Oct 23rd: In the first class students begin their relationship with the fire as we discuss the dos and don'ts of fire play. As students learn simple extinguishing techniques they will also start playing with transfers and blowouts. Whether you have danced with fire or not this class is sure to teach you a brand new respect for the element as you learn less of how to wrap it around and more of its natural behavior and how to work within its boundaries. By the end of the class, students will know which tricks can be done during each stage of wicks burn and should easily be able to extinguish the wick within the mouth.

Oct 29th: the second part of the class we really start to dive into the mysteries and magic of fire eating. After a short review of the mouth extinguish we will go into a deep explanation of the different types of vapor pull methods. For some folks this may mean "Dragons Breath" or "Breath of Fire", but the beauty of this class is that you will learn several techniques to pull vapor off both live and dead wicks allowing huge impressive fireballs without any burns! For those of you who have hollow point torches, we will also explain hollow pulls as a method to pull vapor without any wear and tear to the lips. After this class, you will be prepared to take on many advanced techniques.
