What we're about

GIS in Grasshopper

Geographic information systems (GIS) allows us to visualize, generate, and analyze geotagged data in order to better understand relationships, patterns, and trends in the natural and built environment. Advancements in GIS technologies have influenced almost every imaginable discipline in the past three decades. The fields of architecture, urban design and urban planning are amongst the fields that have been drastically influenced by the application of GIS technologies and thinking.

This one-day workshop introduces the GIS to Grasshopper workflow to the participants. Through the introduction of series of plugins such as Meerkat GIS, Elk, and Mosquito, we will understand how various types of GIS data can be accessed and utilized in Grasshopper.
