Ancestral Healing and the River of Blood: a class with Orion Foxwood
Ancestral Healing and the River of Blood: Ancient Lore and Healing Practices for Resolving Conflict on Both Sides of the Veil Much of the future of our species is contingent upon its relationship to its past. All of us (human and other) partake of a great stream of life called the River of Blood. Yet, sadly few of us have a living awareness of it and how to access, navigate and mediate it for the good of the past, present and future. In this class, Orion will discuss the nature of what he calls “life’s undercurrent” and its influence on the quality and potentials of our current lives. This current is both a source of great nourishment, wisdom, power and support but also the origins of many subtle and overt paradoxes, and problems in our lives. We are the inheritors and sometimes the perpetrators of these qualities. So much of the past lives within us as the present and this can be very unhealthy when done without healing and discernment practices. After all, the past is for reflection and not residence. So, how do we heal those who have passed into the internal tide of life? How do we carry forth the best of their life within us while releasing, redeeming or healing the worst? After all the traumas of the past, and the associated effects and aftermath do not simply go away. No, they recede into the underbelly of the expressed world where feed and/or erode at vitality of current life. Conversely, there is a saying, “no wisdom leaves the world and love is eternal”, which means that these traits are also passed down to us or they can be accessed and brought forward. This class is about healing those qualities of the ancestral stream (“the River of Blood”) that entangles and entrenches us in forms of sorrow. These patterns reveal the pain of those who went before us and its presence in our current lives. Why carry these when you have choice?.This class is about being a sovereign presence on this stream as a healer, mediator and the embodiment of hope, healing, innovation and promise. Topics and/or techniques covered include the following: · Who and what are the ancestors? · The non-human ancestors. · The redeemed, unredeemed and exalted ancestors. · The power of ancestral shrines and altars. · Prayer forms for calling to the River of Blood. · Those who walk in grace. · Assessing ancestral entanglements and entrenchments. · What are ancestral entanglements and entrenchments? · What forms the heart of the ancestral healer? · Those who walk in grace. · Assessing ancestral entanglements and entrenchments. · What about ancestors that we feel are wicked? · Techniques for clearing and cleansing ourselves and the Ancestors. Class fee $33, discounted to $30 if paid in cash.

What we're about

Public Group

Welcome to the grass roots, people-powered, community calendar of events for the Witches & Pagans Community in Los Angeles!

There are several new, important differences between this and most other Meetups. The most important difference is that from now on ALL COMMUNITY MEMBERS ARE WELCOME TO CREATE AND ANNOUNCE MEETUP EVENTS - as soon as you send a request to be upgraded to Event Organizer status via the 'suggest' a meetup link.

Due to the recent change in status/spammer ownership, there does appear to be one remaining change. It looks likes Meetup.com altered their policies regarding open calendars, such that groups started after 2014 are not able to allow all members to post events. Instead, admins can upgrade any member to "Event Organizer" status, allowing them to create, edit, and delete their own events as they like. When our meetup changed hands our page changed to the new model.

At the top of our meetup you'll still see that it says "Suggest a Meetup" + except now, when you press the button, it doesn't post your suggestion as an event on the calendar, it sends a message to the admins.

You can read about Meetup's policy here: Member Suggest Meetups (https://www.meetup.com/help/customer/portal/articles/865438-member-suggested-meetups/?urlkey=help&topic=help&__topic_subdomain=1). "

EVERY SINGLE COMMUNITY MEMBER can post ANY EVENT you like on the new Community Calendar - As soon as you request Event Organizer status due to the changes on Meetup.com (see above) - And you can even announce it yourself immediately the entire community without approval as well.

Here is - step by step - how to create a grass roots Meetup event on the Community Calendar:

1. Join the Community.

2. Go to the 'Let's Meetup and...' prompt to suggest request to be made an "Event Organizer"

3. Event Organizers may add Meetups by filling out the 'Let's Meetup and...' form

4. Meetups added by Event Organizers are turned into official Meetups immediately.

5. Event Organizer-added Meetups with a date selected will appear on the Calendar

6. Event Organizer-added Meetups without a date selected will appear only on the 'Upcoming' Meetups list on the Meetup Group's home page

7. The Event Organizer who adds the Meetup may choose to announce the Meetup to the Meetup Group's members imnediately.

Finally, the community mailing list is currently moderated, but informative messages will be approved to reach the entire community!

Please Use the Message Boards for ongoing conversations.

These are powerful community building tools. Please use them responsibly.

This is our community. Let's nurture and care for it.
