About the Speaker:
A Los Angeles native, long-time San Diegan, and having graduated from Sonoma State University while playing on the World Series baseball team, Derek implemented the humility and selflessness learned from years of athletics into his real estate business. An active investor, award winning Realtor, and Business Development Director for the NSDREI, Derek is connected to many different facets of real estate. He purchased his first investment property in 2010, and since then he’s owned or been involved in Single Family Home Flips, Short Sales, REO’s, Auctions, Owner Financing, Mobile Home Parks, Lending, Development, and Apartment Buildings. He is currently a Partner of Sonoca Corporation — cumulatively focusing on single family home renovations and sales in San Diego County. He and his partner, Kymberly Nelson, have cumulatively flipped over 100 houses since 2010 and currently have 16 flips actively underway.
