Subject: [la-history] Ennis House

Hi Guys,

This is the response I got regarding tours of the Ennis House. I'll notify everyone when/if I hear back from them.

The Ennis House is now privately owned and is currently undergoing some deferred maintenance which could take an extended period of time.  Although the home is private, the owner has agreed to open the house to the public a limited number of days per year.   Once the maintenance is done, we will be scheduling those days and I’ll keep your information on file and notify you of the schedule.

A Mr. Burkle purchased the home last July, with the condition that the house be opened up to the public
twelve days a year. From what I've learned, the place isn't safe enough to have people in there, so I am guessing that is a huge issue. The guy that bought it has a boatload of money - exactly what it requires.

Hope you are all well!

Juliet
