[University Park] Los Angeles WordPress General Meetup: In the Beginning...

The University Park WordPress Meetup meets on the 4th Wednesday evening of every month at the University of Southern California.

This is a general meetup for all experience levels of programmers, front-end developers, and end-users of WordPress. This is a good meetup group for small business owners looking to optimize and build their online presence, freelancers designers & developers, students just starting out in web development, USC faculty & staff who work with the popular CMS, or community members thinking about building a website.

Since we are meeting in a classroom on campus, we are limited on space. So please be sure to RSVP and update your RSVP if you cannot attend.

DIRECTIONS
Located next to one of the city’s major cultural centers, Exposition Park, USC’s 226-acre University Park campus (UPC) is just minutes from downtown Los Angeles and is easily accessible by major freeways, and by the new Metro Expo line (with stops at Expo/Vermont station, Expo Park/USC station, and Jefferson/USC station.)

The Metro Expo Line connects the Westside by rail to Downtown LA, Hollywood, the South Bay, Long Beach, Pasadena and dozens of points in between. It runs until 2AM on Fridays and Saturdays. For your best route or more info, check the Metro Trip Planner or call (323) Go Metro (323.446.3876).

Who should attend?
Anyone who is interested in WordPress, just starting out with their WordPress site or experienced WordPress users and developers. This meetup is open to everyone and anyone who is interested in working with WordPress the Content Management System for building and maintaining websites. No experience is required. Topics vary every month.

Is this a place to promote my services and products I sell?
NO. There are networking groups specifically for that. We're not one of them.

Is there a cover charge?
Absolutely Not! Our sponsor, WP-Engine, has put up the funds so you don't have to. The only thing we ask is that you participate and be welcoming toward one another. This is a safe meetup to learn from one another.

The only cost to you is if you decide to pay for parking.

Will there be food and/or drink?
Yes! We will have snacks.
