It will be a very informative meeting, and we want your input! If you have a question or comment, please email Samantha and she can compile them before the meeting. Virtual LPC Speaker Night, July 9 : Bernard Chen - In the Moment of Inspiration

LPC’s speaker for July 9th is Bernard Chen! This meeting is a bonus summer event and will be held virtually. The zoom link is: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/86537494709?pwd=d1prcU9qTjkyWHNwbGN2MENVbmppQT09 Bernard Chen is a landscape photographer, based in Northern Virginia. He has unlocked a passion that combines a fascination with the visual image with a profound appreciation for the natural world. Almost by accident, his introduction to photography began in 2001, while working with Photoshop at the National Cancer Institute. He bought his first camera in 2009, and it was then that his joy and wonder at this art form started to take hold. Driven by a burning desire to become ever more accomplished, creative, and ambitious in his photography, he rapidly advanced his skills and began to discover the true potential of what he held in his hands. From his site: "My work is born out of the harmony between my fascination with the visual image, and my wonder at the natural world. For the last decade, I have been captivated by the power of the camera to capture a moment, to stir up an emotion, and to open up a window onto the world that we all share. The camera is where our personal connection with nature meets our personal experience of art. My photography allows me to explore and encounter the world around me, but it is also a way for me to invite others to interact with nature, to experience it and to interpret it in their own unique way."
