Data For Democracy Hackathon

Details

Hey y'all globally-minded civic folk! Come represent the Ville and hack with Data for Democracy (http://datafordemocracy.org), Black Lives Matter Louisville (https://www.facebook.com/blacklivesmatterlouisville/), Mijente (http://mijente.net/) and Civic Data Alliance (http://www.civicdataalliance.org) for D4D's global hackathon!

This is a hackathon to confront data security issues faced by those who are targets of alt-right threats and violence. The focus of this event will be on alt-right groups, their activity in KY/IN and what we can do as a community to counter these efforts.

Also available - projects that focus on identifying and countering fake news distributed by alt-right.

All skill levels are welcome, come out and get involved!

Currently, Louisville is only one of 9 cities in the nation holding an event in a physical space, so hashtag trailblazers to all of our attendees :)

Make a donation to Civic Data Alliance via Code for America! (https://www.codeforamerica.org/donate)
