LoveArabic is thrilled to be co-presenting the closing night film at the Toronto Palestine Film Festival (TPFF), the critically-acclaimed WAJIB by Annemarie Jacir on September 23. Runtime: 96 minutes. Tickets: Abu Shadi is a divorced father and a school teacher in his mid-60s living in Nazareth. After his daughter's wedding in one month he will be living alone. His son Shadi arrives from Rome after years abroad to help his father to hand-deliver the wedding invitations to each guest, which is the local Palestinian custom. As the estranged pair spend the day together, the tense details of their relationship come to a head challenging their fragile and very different lives.     What we're about

    LoveArabic Exchange is Toronto's Arabic language exchange meet-up group. All Arabic language levels are welcome. If you are a beginner, intermediate or a native speaker, there will always be something for you!

    What is LoveArabic Exchange:

    - A safe and friendly environment to learn and practice a new language from native Arabic speakers.

    - Meet-ups every Thursday night.

    - Each meet-up is from 7:00 pm - 8:30pm.

    - Delicious Arabic food and Arabic beat offered at every meet-up.

    - Learn by immersing yourself in Arabic culture: Language, food, music and other Arabic-speakers.
