Join us to discover this amazing ancient Buddhist moving mindfulness meditation that has found its way to London. 'Lu' means body and 'Jong' means transformation in the Tibetan language. It consists of yoga-like movements of the body accompanied by rhythmic breathing that helps to energise the body, calm the mind and balance the emotions for greater health and joyful living. 10 minutes a day is all that is needed for the core practice which you will have an opportunity to experience in the group meetings. You will also discover the theory behind these once secret teachings. Lu Jong is practised by Buddhist monks to keep themselves healthy and free of negative emotions. It is beneficial for those hoping to improve their physical and mental health, and gain access to the subtle body where disease and illness are thought to first manifest. Lu Jong is suitable for all ages and abilities and requires no particular background or belief. It works in our modern society because it is simple and easy to learn and do. The Five Elements Movements consists of 5 standing postures that can be done practically anywhere – your lounge, garden, office or the park. Lu Jong fits into a busy lifestyle. It is an interesting, enjoyable and effective practice that leaves you feeling healthier and more joyful. I would never have thought this could be possible with a time commitment of just 10 minutes a day. Lu Jong is extremely effective for people who have not exercised in a while and are looking for a simple practice that they can start that will not be too strenuous on the body. It is also brilliant for those who already exercise and just want to maintain a daily practice for days when they can’t get to the gym or their regular class, to help avoid that awful tired feeling that goes along with not having exercised for a while.
