Luckan is a cultural centre in the heart of Helsinki, offering different social activities for everyone, regardless of language or background. We are offering a space where, through fun activities, you can meet new people, and have cultural and language exchange. It is all about creating community, social networks, and finding meaningful connections. We arrange for example Open Living Room evenings, Circle Mingles and book clubs.
Luckan Integration, part of Luckan, is a guidance and information service for people who feel new in Helsinki. We give advice and info on job search, education possibilities, language learning options and social events and activities to feel at home in Helsinki. Join us for an info-session where our speakers will guide you through different study paths, application tips, and ways to boost your skills for the future. With applications for Hanken and Arcada programs opening soon, now is the perfect time to get a head start and know what steps to take.
The session will feature Hope Nwosu, Laurea Alumni of the Year 2025, sharing her personal study and upskilling journey, Alina Anderson, Marketing Planning Officer at Hanken School of Economics, presenting Swedish-language study programs and application tips, Ida Julin, Marketing Specialist at Arcada University of Applied Science, highlighting Swedish- and English language programs and the application process.

Open Living Room goes Friendship Crafts
Luckan Helsingfors, Yrjönkatu 27, Helsinki, FIIn honour of Friendship Day, Luckan will host a friendship crafts and mingle session, free for all! During the session we will each make our own tufted rug in a workshop led by Motley Project and tufting teacher Valentina Lachner. Join us to craft something for a friend, craft with the theme of friendship, or even craft new friendships!
The Motley Project is a new association dedicated to offering English-language creative workshops and building a welcoming, inclusive community for all ages. Our sessions are always taught by professional creatives and they are open to everyone, especially to people who are new to Finland.
