What we’re about
MAGNUM is a social group for gay men that enjoy tasting and learning about wine in a social setting, with other gay men and their friends. In other words, this is a gay men's group at its core, but everyone is welcome!
This group will host a variety of events throughout the year, to accommodate different interests, budgets, and group sizes. This includes:
- Wine tastings with small bites
- Multi course dinners with wine pairings
- Less structured wine-related social events
*MAGNUM = The official name for a 1.5L bottle of wine. Magnum bottles are the equivalent of two regular bottles of wine.
UPDATE: 4/25/2023 - Magnum has a new organizer.. My name is Jeff & I am a longtime Magnum member & fellow wine-enthusiast. Love socializing & trying new wines. I look forward to meeting you (at a future event) soon!

Hello gents!
We're excited to invite you to a Sicilian-focused wine tasting in the shaded courtyard of Sebastian's home in Park Slope. Led by local wine experts and owners of Gowanus Wine Merchants, we’ll explore the volcanic reds of Mt. Etna, coastal varietals like Nero d’Avola and Grillo, and some less common gems like Inzolia and the unique blend Frapello. There will also be an assortment of small plates to highlight the body and character of our menu.
We ask for a $30 contribution to join. Sebastian will contact you after you have RSVP'd.

- Building is located in Park Slope, just one block from the F, R, & G trains
- Address will be shared with confirmed attendees
