What we're about
Whether you are completely new to the MBTI (Myers Briggs Type Indicator) or you already know a lot about it, you are welcome here! The MBTI is a personality (technically "temperament") theory invented by Carl Jung and Katherine Cook Briggs in the early 1900s (roughly).
"Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is a personality test designed to assist a person in identifying some significant personal preferences. Katharine Cook Briggs and her daughter Isabel Briggs Myers developed the Indicator during World War II, and its criteria follow from Carl Jung's theories in his work Psychological Types."
This meetup group is intended to be a friendly place for people in Tucson who are interested in learning more about the MBTI and networking with other MBTI enthusiasts. We can get to know each other's types, help each other figure out our types if we're uncertain, and maybe develop some sort of workshop style for future meetups. If you'd like to read more about it on Wikipedia:
There's also several free versions of the test on Google if you type "free MBTI test online" into the search. Results are not always accurate!! It depends on your interpretations of the questions and also depends on how much self-awareness you have. ...There's also many articles and YouTube videos about the MBTI. There's also a pretty good book about it called "Please Understand Me II" by David Keirsey. Or if you like getting involved in 'online forums' here's a great one: http://www.typologycentral.com
HAVE FUN!!! AND JOIN!!! :-) Thank you!
