Next Meetup

Snowdonia and the Cambrian Mountains.
We'll meet up in the England/Wales border town of Monmouth at the Mayhill Hotel, NP25 3LX, at around 1PM on Saturday 19th May. Not being a Bank Holiday weekend the traffic should be a lot lighter travelling from London and around Wales tourist spots. We depart the Mayhill Hotel, at 1:30PM and have a spot of lunch before heading into the heart of Wales on some well chosen roads. We each make our own arrangements where to stay. I'm booked in at the Hafod Hotel, Devils Bridge, SY23 3JL, using Booking.com for the Saturday and Sunday nights. There's the nearby George Borrow Hotel, SY23 3AD as an alternative, or camping at 'The Woodlands' camp site in Devils Bridge if preferred. If we happen to be in different nearby accommodation it'll be easy to meet up at any time. We'll be riding some of the best biking roads in Wales on this tour, taking in the picturesque West Coast, mountain passes and lakes, such as, to name but a few, Llanberis Pass, Bala Lake, Hellfire Pass (highest road in Wales), The Elan Valley and as long as there's no mountain mist, Cambrian Mountain's own challenging Devils Staircase on our way home on Monday. Therefore only experienced bikers please. I've probably missed mentioning something, but meantime we can deal with any questions on the site.
