Summary:
Azure Mobile Services provides an amazing productivity booster for getting cloud-connected mobile applications up and running on multiple client platforms in minimal time and effort. In this session you will learn how to implement mobile services that support simple data access, authentication and authorization, and push notification to your mobile clients on iOS, Android, Windows Phone, Windows 8 or 10, .NET, and JavaScript and clients. You will learn how to setup and enable basic data access in minutes, as well as how to integrate authentication, authorization and notifications into your apps. You'll see how you can use either the JavaScript (NodeJS) backend or .NET backend to host your services.
Objectives:
• Learn where and when the use of Azure Mobile Services is appropriate
• Learn how to create Azure Mobile Services based data services
• Learn how to authenticate and authorize users and send them platform push notifications via Mobile Services
Bio:
Brian Noyes is CTO and Co-founder of Solliance (www.solliance.net), a Microsoft Regional Director, Microsoft MVP, and Pluralsight author. Brian specializes in building rich HTML and XAML clients and the services that back them with ASP.NET, WCF, and Azure. Brian is author of over a half-dozen Pluralsight courses, four books, and dozens of magazine and online publication articles. He is a frequent top rated speaker at conferences worldwide including Microsoft TechEd, VSLive!, DevIntersection, DevConnections, DevTeach, DevReach, and others. Brian got started programming as a hobby while flying F-14 Tomcats in the U. S. Navy, later turning his passion for software development into his current career.
