This is a group for anyone interested in loose-leaf tea.
We aim to promote tea as a lifestyle by sharing knowledge about tea culture as well as brewing, tasting and appreciating methods.
You will meet fellow tea enthusiasts in a casual atmosphere hosted by Chinese tea sommelier Edward Qu, and get a chance to try hundreds of different varieties of tea from all six families (green, white, yellow, oolong, black, dark). Only authentic tea samples, grown and produced in accordance with locally and/or internationally recognized "intangible cultural heritage" processes, will be used.
We meet weekly, either indoors or outdoors (weather permitting) for tea tasting and discussion. Guests will get the opportunity to experience different brewing methods (gongfu, freestyle, etc.) and also be able to practice and refine their own brewing techniques in a relaxed setting.
Those who are just getting started on their tea journey are more than welcome to join; Edward is eager to share his knowledge and experience of tea.
