Anne Albright will lead us in a 2-week series on equanimity. We'll start the New Year with the first half of a Sharon Salzberg dharma talk on equanimity. Salzberg defines equanimity as the balance that is born of wisdom, a companion quality to mindfulness, loving kindness and compassion. For some, equanimity suggests a passive or cool detachment from reactivity; Salzberg suggests it is a place to feel emotion more fully. This talk opens with a 10 minute guided meditation which may be useful to new meditators.
