What we’re about

The Minnesota Ski Hawks is a non-profit Sports and Social Club. We sponsor events, trips and meet-up nights throughout the year. We’re based in the Twin Cities and currently have approximately 150 members made up of both singles and couples ranging in age from the mid-20’s all the way to the 70's..
The purpose of Minnesota Ski Hawks Meet Up Group is to have fun and to get to know prospective club members. We keep our paid club members of informed on upcoming trips, meetups and other events. While many events are open to non-members, our ski trips are for members of Ski Hawks and Minnesota Ski Council affiliated ski clubs only. Ski Hawk members are also eligible for discounts from our sponsors.

The annual British Arrows Awards serves up the latest and greatest in UK moving image advertising. Bridging Minnesota and the UK, this year’s screening features Timberwolves superstar Anthony Edwards in his newest kicks and actor Matthew Macfadyen as a holiday party detective.
Experimenting with both form and content, the show encompasses mini-documentaries, sci-fi spoofs, animation, and more. Tapping into quiet nostalgia and raucous humor alike, the annual year-end tradition offers a compendium of stories that are as surprising as they are human.

Bring in the holidays toasting your fellow Ski Hawks! Casper's has set aside the loft area above the bar for us. Come and join us for libations and camaraderie. Share your skiing/snowboarding stories from years past. Wear an ugly Christmas sweater or just come dressed for the holidays. There will be a contest with a cash prize for ugliest sweater!

All the fun starts at 5:30 p.m. The Ski Hawks will provide light snacks, a full menu is available for purchase. Follow the link to find out more about Casper's (http://www.casperscherokee.com/).

If you are a veteran Ski Hawk come and say hello to old friends and meet new ones. If you are a new member, welcome, come meet your fellow members and get to know us better!

This event is for paid Ski Hawks and their guests only; therefore, RSVP's for this event will be through our Ski Hawks website. Ski Hawks Meet & Ski at Welch Village!

The Ski Hawks will be at Welch Village on Wednesday, December 31st for a meet and ski. We would love to see you there!

Lift Tickets: Must be purchased ONLINE AND IN ADVANCE Lift Tickets

The SkiHawks members will begin to arrive at Noon and continue into the evening. Watch for our yellow bandanas, pole flags and arm/leg and helmet bands. We plan to ski into the evening as the sun goes down.

As usual, the SkiHawks will meet at the Madd Jaxx Bar & Grill.

Madd Jaxx Bar & Grill is off to the east from the main chalet. About a block down the road. Meet there. Pick up your lift ticket at the Main Chalet ticket window then come to Madd Jaxx. Pass holders can still have their passes scanned at Madd Jaxx.

Indoor Chalet Policies:
All items such as bags, shoes/boots, coolers, and containers are not allowed in the chalet while you are skiing/riding at Welch Village. All personal items must be stored in a seasonal locker, daily paid locker, or in a cubby area. If lockers and/or cubby areas are full, all personal items must be kept in your vehicle.

Bring your on-line or prepaid voucher to the outside ticket window at the main chalet where it will be exchanged for a lift ticket. Once you have your lift ticket you can drive to the Jaxx Bar & Grill area where we tend to hang.

Pass holders can still have their passes scanned at Jaxx.

Ski Hawks Meet & Ski at Welch Village and Happy Hour at Bierstube in Hastings!

The Ski Hawks will be at Welch Village on Saturday, January 10 for a Meet & Ski! We would love to see you there!

After skiing at around 3:00pm we will meet for an apre-ski happy hour at the Bierstube in Hastings. Enjoy delicious german & american food and a large beer selection.

Lift Tickets & Season Passes:
Lift Tickets: Must be purchased ONLINE AND IN ADVANCE. We will not be selling any lift tickets in-person at the window.
Season Passes: Must be purchased online. All season pass holder are required to present their season pass card every time they wish to ski/ride at our outdoor ticket widows at the main chalet or at Madd Jaxx during operating hours and obtain/wear a lift ticket. On weekends & holidays, we usually have a ticket window reserved for only season pass holders.

Carry-on food is NOT allowed in MADD JAXX Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays. No carry-on alcoholic beverages are permitted anywhere on Welch Village property as per MN Statue 340A.512. This includes all parking areas and on all WV property.
