Time: 5:30 P.M.
Skill Level: Beginner / Low Intermediate
Pace: Casual (4-6mph)
Signup/Waiver: Golden Volunteer (manual or tablet to GV on site)

Description: The ride will stop at places to explain the terrain and trail features, and tips on how to best ride them. These rides are a great way to introduce a friend or child to mountain biking (MTB). We use the beginner level trails and a few of the easier intermediate trails depending on the skill set of those who show up.

MTB Skills Clinic for Beginners @ the MoCo Epic Family Fun Day

MORE’s Mountain Bike Skills Clinic for Beginners @ the MoCo Epic Family Fun Day – Saturday, October 8, 2022 – South Germantown Bike Park, Germantown, MD

In this clinic we will cover basic body position and bike/body balance and separation that are needed for safe, confident, and fun trail riding on your mountain bike. We will cover ride basics, braking, neutral and ready position, adjustments for uphill and downhill riding, and trail etiquette. The clinic is designed for both newbie and beginner-level riders looking to improve their skills in a non-competitive atmosphere. Questions are encouraged and the intention is to have fun, learn some new skills, and gain confidence on the trails.

The clinic is open for riders age 16+. You must sign a waiver and be able to ride a bike and bring your own mountain bike, drinking water, and a helmet (mandatory).

When - Saturday October 8, 2022. Meet ready to ride at 12:00 noon at the MoCo Epic Pre-Registration Area.

As space is limited, please sign up at Meetup and PLEASE revise your RSVP if you cannot attend – there may be a wait list and others want your spot!

Check the Meetup announcement the morning of the event in case the clinic is cancelled due to weather/trail conditions.

Where – Meet at the MoCo Epic Pre-Registration area at the South Germantown Bike Park in Germantown, MD. Parking is available on site for the MoCo Epic event.

MTB Skills Clinic for Beyond-Beginners @ the MoCo Epic Family Fun Day

MORE’s Mountain Bike Skills Clinic for Beyond-Beginner Level Riders @ the MoCo Epic Family Fun Day – Saturday, October 8, 2022 – South Germantown Bike Park, Germantown, MD

This mountain biking clinic is designed to build on the basics of proper body position and bike/body balance and separation. In this clinic we will review the basics and expand the skill set to include cornering, log overs, roll downs, skinnies, and simple wheel lifts.

Participants should be comfortable riding a mountain bike and be able to demonstrate riding basics including neutral position and ready position.

The clinic is open for riders age 16+. You must sign a waiver and be able to ride a bike and bring your own mountain bike, drinking water, and a helmet (mandatory).

When - Saturday October 8, 2022. Meet ready to ride at 1:00 PM at the MoCo Epic Pre-Registration Area.
