Come and join us for another MSD IT Meet Up, this time organized by our ML team. Together, we will explore what/which machine learning and natural language processing approaches are applicable to MSD business problems and challenges.

Jakub Kotowski (Artificial Intelligence Lead) will introduce the company and the context in which we are working. Jakub will also talk about some of the challenges within pharma research.

Michael Wurst (Architect, AI) will discuss the problem of sharing and analyzing sensitive data within and across companies and how machine learning based aproaches around privacy preserving analytics and differential privacy can help to solve it.

Lena Rampula (Natural Language Processing Capability) will share some of the current unstructured data challenges in pharma and review how NLP is applied in MSD.

Otakar Smrž (Solution Engineering) will review what automated reading could bring to the company, and how we can get inspired by progress in mining scientific publications or social media.

Václav Belák (Data Science Tech Lead) will present a machine learning pipeline for prediction of adverse drug reactions at a pre-clinical (in-vitro) stage.
