Testing on C++ projects

Presenter: Dmitry Ledentsov

There seem to exist some division between the developer communities: xUnit testing seems natural on Java projects, Behavior-Driven development and testing is ubiquitous on Ruby web projects, and there's nothing general to be said about C++ projects. Then, there are toolchains and other tools, with which one has to struggle in the C++ world. That must not be! That's what we'll talk about, so that the fears and headaches go away. Let's simplify!

We meet in the auditorium 1100, first floor, main building.

      The links are not clickable in the gh rendering. Download "Raw" to be able to follow the links

      GH seems to be struggling today. Here's an alternative download: http://ledentsov.de/w...

    I don't think I can make it this day. What are people using for testing in c++ or is know of?

    I enjoyed the talk and the discussion very much. I got quite a few ideas especially for improving the readability of tests.

    I think I'll be able to prepare a short overview of testing and I'd love to make a discussion about participants' experiences. Anybody interested?

      A talk about testing with a moderated discussion sounds great!

    Dmitry, It would be also nice to give a short live demo for creating test cases using Boost Test. I never used it but I know a lot of people actually use it. If not Boost something else. (Just a suggestion)

      Yep, that's also part of my plan, but it won't be boost test
