Linda Moulton Howe presents: 10,000 B.C. Gobekli Tepe and Ancient Stone Circles

Elegantly carved, nineteen-foot-tall, limestone pillars weighing five tons each are standing in rings on a hill in southern Turkey called Gobekli Tepe, “potbelly hill.”

In 1994, German archaeologist Klaus Schmidt began to dig and carbon date and found the mysterious site is more than twice the age of Egypt, Sumeria and Stonehenge, but not a single tool or evidence of habitation has been found. Yale-educated geologist, Robert Schoch, Ph.D., speculates that the pillars might have functioned as tuning forks in unknown frequencies — to produce energy? communication?

Ground-penetrating radar shows there are some 300 more standing pillars in eighteen still-buried rings underneath 95% of the hill that has not been excavated.

Compounding the mystery is soil compression evidence that about a thousand years after its creation, all of the Gobekli standing pillars were buried. Did the makers have knowledge of impending danger? The immense effort required to erect the large stone circles 12,000 years ago and then bury them a thousand years later provokes speculation that Gobekli Tepe and stone circles, pyramids and ziggurats on this planet could be self-activating machines left behind by non-human intelligences that have terraformed Earth for millennia.
