Carlos Gonzalez
Mechanical Engineer & Technology Editor, Machine Design Magazine

Carlos Gonzalez is a technology editor at Penton Media for 'Machine Design' magazine. His research and writing topics include engineering, product trends, and news impacting mechanical engineers. Additional topics include robotics, alternative energy, aerospace, and STEM education.
From 2007 to 2014, Carlos worked at Sikorsky Aircraft as a designer and a leader. He helped the S76D and the Navy's CH-53K develop their flight controls department, and was involved in initial product design, systems development, contract and supplier negotiations, implementation of parts and installations, qualification of aircraft hardware, and project management.
