Welcome to the MeetUp of BBC Machine Learning Fireside Chats.
We are a friendly community of Tech aficionados with a particular interest in machine learning. We are set up to discuss ongoing work, spread knowledge and be better machine learning practitioners.

Come along and hear from experienced machine learning experts in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere over food and drinks.

Attendees do not need necessarily to have a technical background to attend however technical aspects will be discussed.

Session 1 of 2: Build an AI Tool to Systematize Your Business SOPs
You have processes in your head that nobody else can replicate. What happens when you're sick, on vacation, or finally ready to hire? This session changes that.
In 90 minutes, you'll use Claude Code to build a real AI tool that turns your messy, brain-dumped business processes into clean, usable SOPs - the kind a new hire can follow on day one without asking you a single question.
No coding required. No technical background needed. Just show up with one messy process you've been meaning to document, and leave with a tool that does the documenting for you.
What you'll do: Drop your messy process notes into your new AI tool and watch it produce a structured, professional SOP in seconds. Then do it again with something else.
What you'll leave with: A working AI tool installed on your own machine that you own, you control, and you can use on every process in your business from that day forward.

This session stands alone — no prior attendance required. If you want to go further and build an agent that actually executes your SOPs automatically to free up even more of your time, that's Session 2.

• Day 5: Prototype to Production: "From Vibe to Live" Graduate your local agents into a governed, scalable, and observable production-ready fleet. Master cloud deployment, debugging, and observability.
• Capstone project: Apply your agentic workflows in our new capstone challenge, Kaggriculture, a farming simulation where you'll build and deploy an autonomous agent to manage resources and outperform others in a dynamic environment. Build your technical portfolio while competing for prizes, including Kaggle certificates, badges, and swag. Detailed requirements and submission guidelines will be shared during the course.

Session 2 of 2: Build Your First Autonomous Agent: Automate Your Client Onboarding
Last week, you created your SOP. That SOP exists, but you or someone on your team needs to run it. Today, we'll show you how to make it run itself.
In this session you'll build an autonomous agent — an AI that doesn't just document your client onboarding process, it does it. Sends the welcome email, creates the folder, triggers the first task. While you sleep.
This is where Claude Code stops being a curiosity and starts being a business asset.
What you'll do: Take a real client onboarding SOP — yours, or one you build in the session — and turn it into an agent that executes each step automatically when a new client signs up.
What you'll leave with: A working autonomous agent connected to your actual business process. Not a demo. Not a template. Yours.
