From a parquet file's structure to designing and developing BD architectures

Details
-- What? --
After our prior meetups about ML, this is our community's first meetup about Big Data and it's going to be a blast!
We have 3 amazing speakers from Amazon, Couchbase and Elastic that will deep-dive in to columnar formats, discuss design and development of big data architecture and demonstrate new solutions around Operational Analytics.
This is a hands-on technical meetup.

-- About the talks --
-
Deep dive into columnar formats.
In this session you will understand how columnar formats achieve superior performance for analytics workloads. We will analyze a Parquet file’s structure and share some best practices for better performance and storage efficiency.
Daniel Haviv, Big Data Specialist Solutions Architect @ Amazon Web Services. -
Designing and developing a big data architecture using Couchbase.
In this presentation we’ll talk about Couchbase’s architecture and how it fits big data use cases. We’ll also see some code in Java/C#/Python of how to use it and demonstrate it live.
Lior King, Senior Solution Architect @ Couchbase -
Elasticsearch's latest solutions around Operational Analytics.
We will get an early preview of ES's new solutions released with 6.5.
We'll demonstrate how #logs, #metrics, and #APM data fits in a single new solution for better performance monitoring and faster troubleshooting across IT infrastructure.
Dov Hershkovitch, PM for Logging and Metrics @ Elastic
