November Project... "alternative" training...
My understanding is that every Wednesday & Friday morning - regardless of the weather - there is a group that exercises early in the morning downtown Madison. Consider it an exercise flash mob! AND IT'S FREE!!! Wednesdays - 6:28 am - Top of Bascom Hill Fridays - 6:27 am - Lady Forward (Top of State St at the Capitol) "We are a group workout tribe that works out year round - 'What about February?' Don't ask that again. We'll be there and you should be too. Our workouts are created with all levels of athlete in mind. That means you have a place. Fast or Slow? Old or Young? You should be with us, just show up. We want you there."

What we're about

It doesn't matter if you are new to triathlon or have several IronMan races under you belt, this Meetup group will certainly provide you with the expertise to learn the sport, improve your time or raise your motivation. All skill levels are welcome. This group can be used to find training partners, build lasting friendships, answer questions, discuss training strategies or races and much more! We'll meet occasionally (to carbo-load on beer & food) to chat about races, our experiences and training. If this sounds like something you might be interested in... then TRI it!

PS. If you are from "out of state" and especially if you are registered for IMWI in September, you may find this group to be a wonderful resource for local information and "guided tours" of the swim/bike/run course on those weekends when you drive up/down to Madison to train.

Did I mention that this is completely free! As in nothing!
