ABOUT

Everybody makes mistakes, but this truth can be challenging to keep in mind when we're the ones making said mistake!

Given this, let's share our stories with each other in a supportive environment, and hopefully normalize the process of failure and recovery.

SIGN UP TO SHARE!

Do you have a story you think might be a good fit? Let us know!

Sign up here: https://madisonwomen.tech/tech-mishaps-night

We're looking for folks willing to share a 5- to 10-minute lightning talk about a mishap that you caused or contributed to, how you fixed it in the short-term, and any long-term changes you made or realizations you had as a result.

Slides are completely optional. :)

Here are a few examples of the kind of stories we're looking for:

  • You inadvertently crashed production, and so wrote new workflows for testing and deploying.

  • You made incorrect assumption and moved forward in the wrong direction, and in response, changed how you approach new situations.

  • You crashed and burned in a technical challenge, and afterwards, overhauled how you prepare for job interviews.

Let us know if you're interested in sharing! https://madisonwomen.tech/tech-mishaps-night

SCHEDULE

Feel free to join the zoom at anytime; lightning talks will start around 4:45pm.
