- Spatial Augmented Reality (Video Projection Mapping) with Aspect Multimedia
Come join Madison XR and Rick Markley of Aspect Multimedia for a demonstration of Spatial Augmented Reality (Video Projection Mapping). One of the challenges with Head Mounted Displays is isolation. It’s an excellent tool for one person but it’s difficult to share that immersive experience with more than one person at the same time. With our innovative display systems viewers can step out of an HMD’s isolation and experience immersive content in a more collaborative group environment. Two projection systems will be on display, a portable video Portal (a partial vertical dome) and a projection globe, showcasing content produced by Aspect Multimedia. We will also demonstrate a Unity plugin that converts Unity’s camera into a fisheye for real-time 3D projection surface mapping onto portable and semi-permanent curved displays, domes, planetariums, cycloramas, panoramas, globes and other arbitrary screen surfaces and spaces.

- Madison XR + Colorado VR Multi-Player Meetup! March 1st at 8 pm
• What we'll do Greetings! One of the most exciting opportunities with XR is the ability to connect and collaborate inside of deeply immersive, interactive virtual worlds. We're now able to connect, collaborate, play, explore and build together with people from all around the world as if we were together in the same room. On March 1st at 8:00 pm, we'll be having a special event in collaboration with our friends at COVR (Colorado VR). In both Westminster and here at 100State in Madison, we'll be tuning our VR rigs into the same virtual spaces, enabling us to explore various multi-player spaces together virtually. We'll be exploring Rec Room, Immerse Creator, and other multi-user virtual worlds together with the Meetup Group in Colorado. If you have an Oculus Rift or HTC Vive but can't join us at 100State, let us know and we'll set you up with access to the same spaces so you can join us virtually as well. Jon will also in be joining from California as well, so come say hi! We hope to see you on March 1st, Madison XR • What to bring If you have a VR rig you don't mind sharing, please bring it along so we can connect as many people as possible. • Important to know

- UW-Madison Badgerloop VR Team Presentation
The next meetup is coming up fast! We're at 100state (316 W. Washington Ave, Suite 675) again on November 14th at 6:00PM for a presentation from the UW-Madison Badgerloop VR Team! Details here: Badgerloop is a club from UW-Madison focused on creating real life hyperloop pods for testing at the SpaceX hyperloop competition. You might be asking, what is a hyperloop pod? You can visit Badgerloop.com (http://badgerloop.com/) for more information, but lucky for you, you can also attend the MadisonVR meetup for more information on what exactly the team is building, and how they are using virtual reality to help understand and even aid in designing this new form of transportation. Badgerloop created a virtual reality team with a few goals in mind: To help promote hyperloop technology to the public in an effort to get them excited about what we are creating here at UW-Madison, and to help the people get a better understanding of what exactly a hyperloop pod is, what is it made of? What's it like to sit in? With those goals in mind, we have created projects including a concept station, and Badgerloop museum for presentation at a wide variety of public events from elementary school science fairs to SpaceX competitions. Badgerloop is currently creating a new pod for competition 3, and the virtual reality team is moving onto other ventures that we are excited to discuss like a prototype visualization tool, augmented reality business cards, and a pod ride simulation.
