The ABC of D2C If there is one TLA that has seen solid growth over the past several years it’s D2C. and more so in the past months. The 3 main drivers are fairly straightforward: • eCommerce growth is inevitable and when a manufacturer understand that it simply does not have to be reliant on the whims of a third party to manage its’ relationship with the consumer it becomes a cost effective route to market. • The high street is in a state of significant transition. Being able to do your weekly shop at the click of a button is compelling and when it comes to discretionary purchase, there is a potential direct route the point of authority. If the High Street is not there to stock your product, how will you trade? • Lockdown has even further driven the need for manufacturers to build a direct relationship with the consumer. If the consumer physically cannot visit retailers, they absolutely will shop online. Who do you want to have the relationship with that consumer? And of course there are healthy margins to be had. The Magento Meetups have been away for a while but it’s time to pick up the pace for a fantastic 2021, we can see the light at the end of the tunnel and we want to race towards it. Magento has gone from strength to strength in the past year; it’s fair to say that there is no better equipped platform for B2C, B2B and of course D2C. It’s the ideal mid market to enterprise platform. We love the Meetups in person but that’s not feasible for now so we will of course do this in an evening so you can join us in a Zoom drink if you so choose. We are absolutely delighted to have the support of Magento in this event. So we’re going to drill down into some actionable insights for you to take away as a practitioner or a retailer.
