Hello members of Maidenhead Mindfulness Wellbeing Meetup group!
I have stepped in to rescue this great group as it totally resonates with what is so important to me.
I'm not going to change any of the rest of the welcome intro as it is perfect as it is.
At present I am not sure of venue but I have a couple of places in mind and will update you once this is confirmed.
You are all very welcome to continue in the group – whether you are Mindfulness trained and would like to meet up regularly to practise, or whether you are just interested and would like to find out more about Mindfulness practices – Find time for yourself; listen to your own mind, body & emotions and focus on “being” rather than “doing”.
I am NLP, EFT, PTT and Mindfulness trained and specialise in working with families; children, teens and parents, to encourage them to prioritise mental health in just the same way as physical health. I have struggled in the past with 'being' having been brought up by parents who would ask every morning what I was 'doing' that day and finish the day by asking what I've 'done'. It can be hard to break old patterns!
Please get in touch to let me know what you'd like to see more of and what you'd like less of.
Meetings will be held at The Palmer Arms in Dorney which has a lovely upstairs room that holds about 25 people and secure well lit car park. The manager Chrys Fisher is also a therapist. I intend to hold one meeting a month in the evening and another in the daytime in a morning. I hope this will serve most people. There will be a charge of £5 each to cover room rental. Any extra will go into a fund in case we need to pay speakers' expenses.
