Let's go meet up with Handlebar Cyclery. It's a great shop right on the edge of Houston's best cycling locale. They have a few different speeds. I think most of us (the usual group that actually shows up lol) will be fine in the B Group... if they stay at the posted speed. If anyone wants to jump on with the faster group they are welcome to. We can start together, see ya at the gas station, and see ya again at the shop.

The following is from their site...

*Meet at Handlebar Cyclery at 7:00am. Riders roll out by 7:30am (please be on time).
*Routes will stay mostly the same, with seasonal changes for a change of scenery.
*Routes are about 35-45 miles, but additional mileage can always be added depending on the day and the group.
*We have one rest stop at a petrol station in Fulshear (approx. 18 miles into the ride).
*We typically arrive back at the store before 10am.
*We ride every Saturday unless it is raining, below freezing, or if there is already a scheduled organized ride. We will notify ahead of time of any change or cancellation.
*This is an open ride for intermediate level riders, usually an A and B group. Our A-level riders push a consistent pace over 20mph for 37 miles or more. Our B-level riders keep an average a pace around 17-19mph for 37 miles.
*We may separate into small groups if a few riders want to go different paces or slightly different route.
*This is a tempo ride, if you are not able to keep the pace or have mechanical issues the group will continue riding.
*This will no longer be a 'no-drop' ride, please know your own riding ability and ride with the applicable group.
*IF YOU HAVE NEVER RIDDEN A GROUP RIDE, WE REQUIRE YOU TO RIDE WITH OUR NO-DROP BEGINNER GROUP! Same time, same place, different route, different pace.

*All riders must come prepared with the following:

  1. HELMET (MANDATORY!)
  2. Proper hydration & nutrition
  3. Spare tube & tube repair kit
  4. Cellular telephone (ICE)
  5. The ability to keep pace & cycle the distance
We recommend utilizing blinking lights to help be seen, a multi-tool for adjustments, a phone sleeve in case we caught in a rain shower, and perhaps a cycling computer for consistency.

Hope to see y'all there! We will have refreshments, and the store will be open so feel free to come in, enjoy a coffee, replace that ancient helmet, or use our clean restrooms!
