About us
Maker Movement is a group for people who enjoy building things — not just talking about them.
The focus is simple:
- Build real projects (hardware, software, AI, electronics)
- Learn by doing — short build cycles instead of long theory
- Share work openly — demos, experiments, and even failed attempts
- Collaborate with other makers in India and beyond
This is a hands-on group. The idea is to create a space where people can tinker, explore ideas, and gradually take on more ambitious builds.
You don’t need to be an expert to join. If you’re curious and willing to experiment, you’ll pick things up along the way.
Over time, this could evolve into:
- Small teams working on interesting builds
- Participating in competitions together
To get started, we’ll keep things simple:
small meetups where people share what they’re working on (even if it’s unfinished), followed by open discussion and hands-on exploration.
If you enjoy building things — even occasionally — you’ll likely find this group useful.
About me
I’m Piyush (IIT Kanpur). I enjoy building things from scratch — from PCBs and hardware systems to AI-powered tools. Recently, I’ve been working on projects like drone builds and electronics prototypes, and I’m particularly interested in combining hardware and software to create real, usable systems.
I started Maker Movement to find others who enjoy building and want to collaborate on interesting problems. I’ll be bringing some of my current builds to the meetups so we have something tangible to start with.
