PechaKucha Slide Night
Details
Hatch is all about idea sharing! Do you have an idea you want to share? A problem you want to discuss? Are you looking for a welcoming group of like-minded makers to bounce your ideas off of? Present your idea/project/problem/solution at Hatch’s PechaKucha night. Five presenters will have the opportunity to present 20 slides for 20 seconds each. After all the presentations have finished there will be an informal discussion, either as a group or in breakout sessions. The doors will open at 7pm and slides will start promptly at 7:30pm. After the presentations, everyone will be invited to discuss the evening’s content.
An RSVP to this event means that you will be attending, not presenting, at the Slide Night.
To participate:
-Everyone is welcome to present. All ages, abilities, and subject matter related to making is encouraged.
-Reserve your presentation spot by sending a one paragraph abstract to Hatch Coordinator, Liz Helfer, at: ehelfer@watertown-ma.gov
-You will receive an email that does one of three things:
-Congratulates you on your participation in the upcoming PechaKucha night
-Informs you that you will be in the line-up for the following PechaKucha night because the upcoming night is full, or
-You will be asked to explain your abstract if it is not clear.
-All presentations will be timed at 20 seconds per slide. Slides will be cut off at 20.
-Hatch has a projector, screen, and laptop that will be hooked up to the projector. Please bring a timed presentation in PowerPoint, Preview, or PDF format on a flash drive or submit your presentation via email to ehelfer@watertown-ma.gov prior to the Slide Night.
