Intro to The Sewing Machine

Learn to use our sewing machines or bring yours in to get a personalized tutorial. You will learn how to:
• Thread the machine
• Wind and change the bobbin
• Change the feet
• Change the stitch length and width
• Change from straight stitch to zig zag/other stitches
• Replace the needle
• Replace the light bulb

If you bring your own machine, please bring:
• Manual
• Power cord and foot
• Bobbins
• A spool of thread
• Any other bits and pieces
Most sewing machine manufacturers have sewing machine manuals (even old ones) available online as well as replacement parts. Do NOT bring sewing machines that don’t work.

Due to the limits of our equipment (we only have 4 machines available), we encourage you to RSVP and bring your own machine. ONLY 6 MAKERS IN TOTAL WILL GET TO PARTICIPATE. Our 4 sewing machines will be available to participants on a first come, first serve basis.
