Easter-egg Bling Eggery Class - Level 1

Hand craft your very own bling, pearl, finding and trim Easter egg with shadow box figurine cut into the egg.

Each student will receive a kit that includes everything needed to make one of the eggs below. You can request a specific pattern in advance or choose when you get there.

With instructor Karen James, students will learn the modern art of "Eggery"-the use of modern materials to create faux eggs in the style of the famous Russian Faberge jeweled eggs.

The key to a successful egg is socializing while allowing materials to bond at each step. Bring the family, bring a group. 20 students max per class. This is about having fun and learning new skills.

If you have a club or organization that would like a private class, discounts are available for groups of 10 or more. Leesburg has some great restaurants to go out to with your masterpiece- and friends.

Each egg is designed for beginners, that have a bit of coordination and patience, to complete in 2 hours. Expert, Karen James, teaches overall techniques but students work on their individual project st their own pace. Special techniques will be taught so you can design and make your own at home, or, purchase additional kits before you leave.

Please bring a washcloth and nail scissors or small sewing sissies and tweezers. These are the tools of the trade.

Very artistic children age 8 and over are more than welcome to attend the class, but need to have parent also in the class as a student. The eggs below are simplified for children who want to participate but need an easier starting point. My daughter has been doing this with me since she was 8. She was hooked on a class just like this.

All attendees must be enrolled in the class. Classes held at 106 Royal street in Leesburg VA at the Makersmith Makerspace.
