IDEATHON - Big Data and IoT

Details
Ideathons – Second Edition
After it's success of the first edition as MalagaMakers Ideathons (see the results here (http://www.malagamakers.com/1st_ideathon_results.html)), we will continue creating ideas to improve life in Malaga by the use of apps and smartphones and that could eventually lead to start-ups by the participants.
A great opportunity to network for entrepeneurs and creatives.
And a way to learn how to create ideas deliberately.

Focus
The focus of the second Ideathon is: Big Data and the Internet of Things.
• The global wearable device market in 2015 has grown 223 % in 2015.
• In 2015 there were 4,9 million connected things, by 2020 it will grow to over 50 billion
• Next 20 years the Internet of Things will add $10 – 15 trillion to the global GDP.
IoT will offer companies opportunities to make “smarter”, more useful and more connected products, doing so disrupting the industry.
How could we improve life in Malaga and for its citizens by the use of Big Data and the Internet of Things, using apps and smartphones?
Program
After a short introduction about the topic and how the creative thinking tools to be used, two rounds of idea generation will follow. There are maximal 10 groups with each five Malaga Apps Creators.
All ideas will be available via Ideanote for improvements later on. You can already subscribe to http://www.ideathons.Ideanote.dk to get some background information and warming up.
Use of the ideas
The created ideas are free to use to anyone and we suggest you to team up with other MalagaMakers and classify it for the the Get in the Ring – the Olympic for Start-ups (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BOwJubZ2NQ4), coming to Malaga the 4th of April. Or look for partners at the International Conference on Smart Cities (http://www.uma.es/smartcities/eventos/smart-city-international-conference-2016-malaga/)Juny 15-17, also in Málaga.
Don't worry, you have not to be an expert in Big Data, IoT, apps or smartphones to let work your imagination and using the suggested creative thinking tools!
