Then come along to Manchester Orators, a public speaking club in the heart of Manchester.

You will find that we're a friendly bunch, of all types and ages.

You can visit any of our meetings for FREE as a visitor, as many times as you like.

If you decide to sign up as a member then you gain access to additional benefits.

Manchester Orators is a fully chartered member of Toastmasters International (Not to be confused with the people in Red jackets that officiate at weddings and events).

When you join, you become part of Toastmasters International, a worldwide not-for-profit organisation that has clubs throughout the Uk and worldwide. There are over 8000 members in Great Britain and over 300,000 worldwide.

Members can also attend any members-only meetings or events, and also they can attend any other Toastmasters club.

When you become a full member you can work through a variety of speech types, get feedback on your speeches, and get full access to the Toastmasters personal development programme called Pathways. There is also the Toastmasters magazine to read every month, all for a low joining fee and monthly subscription, paid by direct debit. Current details are on the club website.

Each month we have several open meetings on the top floor of the lovely Rain Bar ( http://www.rain-bar.co.uk/ ) in the heart of Manchester.

Please arrive around 7pm for a prompt meeting start at 7:30pm.

Meetings end around 9:45pm.

Dress is casual or smart - your choice.

Welcome to one of our special nights at Manchester Orators.
At this meeting we are adapting our normal meeting to celebrate the birth of one of Scotlands most famous sons - Rabbie Burns. Come along to experience a unique event in the Toastmaster's calendar and taste Haggis, Neeps and Tatties and wash it down with a wee tot of whisky!
