We’ll go through its architecture and data model, the available operations, factors to consider when designing the schema, and more. At the end of it, we should be more equipped to answer the question: “Why should we use Hbase?”

About the Speaker: Bernard Quizon is a Senior Software Engineer in Stellar Loyalty Philippines under the Big Data Team. For the past 2 years, he has worked on projects using Hadoop technologies including Hbase, Spark, and Phoenix.

2. Amazon Kinesis - Stream with Kinesis. An Amazon Kinesis discussion for starters. Amazon Kinesis is an AWS service for collecting, processing and analyzing your realtime and streaming data. This session will introduce this technology and how it can fit your current data platform.
