When Casper, When Plasma: Ethereum Third Anniversary Meetup

On 25 July 2018, we'll be celebrating the third anniversary of the Manila Ethereum Meetup.

It has also been three years since the Ethereum network went live. Let's reflect on how Ethereum has progressed so far, and how the community is solving one of the critical problems that need to be addressed: scaling the network.

Our panel will discuss the various scalability solutions that promise to enhance the capacity of the Ethereum blockchain. What are the chances that Casper, Plasma, Friendly Finality Gadget (FFG), state channels and sharding will succeed? What are the challenges that make these proposals hard to implement? Could we expect these solutions to be deployed in the short to medium term?

Are there alternative approaches to scalability that should be considered by the ETH community? Finally, how does a fully scalable Ethereum blockchain impact the overall adoption of the technology in overhauling legacy systems and processes?

Plenty to talk about, so hopefully we start on time.
