MTBing (or just strolling) for Mapillary!
On Sunday afternoon, September 30th, we’re going to get outside, enjoy the weather and gather some data for Mapillary! See www.mapillary.com and/or come to our Sept. 20th meetup to learn about how crowd-sourced photos can help with mapping data. The Idea: • Gather into small groups of like-minded path-lovers. • Take pictures on your route, wherever it might lead you (sidewalks, trails...) • Convene at Rayback in the late afternoon to share stories and upload data. NOTE: The meetup time(s) are TO BE DETERMINED and 1pm is just an estimate. The Groups: We will start the organizing discussion at Sherpa’s on the 20th. We will also talk about what Mapillary IS on the 20th. People who choose to lead a group, will post their meeting location and time in the comments below. Those who would like to join that group should reply to the leader’s comment. The Post-Mapillary-ing meeting point: The Rayback has food trucks, outdoor/indoor seating, games, good beer and a chill vibe. For those who haven’t been, there is a bike path that leads right up to their gate, but there is also convenient parking available in the west (rear) of the Tebo Plaza parking lot: 2775 Valmont Rd., Boulder https://therayback.com/

What we're about

What is Maptime, In the words of Lyzi Diamond, she states: "Maptime is a collection of beginner-focused community groups for learning geospatial technology, techniques, and concepts, particularly using open source tools and hands-on practice and exercises." So #Maptime Boulder, will be no different, we will seek to teach and learn from each other about the ever evolving world of all things GIS and maps!
